Filipa Pias

Designer. Master in Printing Technologies and MBA Executive in Printing Technologies. Ph.D Student.

In 2009 she founded the volunteer project Design é preciso (We need design), a design Portuguese network that links designers to social solidarity activities.

Recently she conducted a Master Class on design for the finalists UAW Program of the Bank of Social Innovation - Santa Casa da Misericórdia. She developed the identity of Vilar Formoso Frontier of Peace, for the Convention ASD - European Association of Aerospace Industries, Space and Defence Europe, for Portugal Business Network and the Portuguese Carbon Fund.

She designed the Portuguese Complaints Book, the Memória magazine for the Portuguese Foundation Centre, the system signage for AICEP and produced a manual for the development of a logotype.

She was the creator of the Michel Giacometti exhibition design, held at Cascais Cultural Centre and designed the “A voice against the Silence” initiative held in Stockholm under the award of the Nobel Prize for Literature José Saramago. In a partnership she was the designer of the Portuguese participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair in 1998 and 1999.
