Giovanna Carugno

Adjunct Professor of Performing Arts Studies at the University of Parma and Adjunct Professor of Methodology of Music Education at the Conservatory of Salerno.

After graduating in Piano Performance and Harpsichord Performance, she achieved a M.A. in Early Music and a M.A. in Chamber Music from the Italian Music Conservatory “Licinio Refice”.

She is specialized in Music Education at the University of Padua and in Music Therapy at Roma Tre University. She also earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Ancient Greek Music from the University of Trento and a Postgraduate Diploma in Methodology of Research in Music Education from the Accademia Filarmonica of Bologna. She was Lecturer in Arts Therapies at Roma Tre University, Department of Educational Sciences, and Lecturer in Music Pedagogy in post-graduate courses for music teachers and educators in the Lazio Region.

Her main research interests are focused on early music and music education.
